| ANo.1 | International students can have a bank account in Japan. Please inquire the International Center for questions regarding how to open an account or how to use ATM machine. You can open a general savings account at a post office through a similar procedure required at a bank. The post office's automatic payment service is available for utility bills. ATMs are also available, however, it is different from that of a bank, and a Post Office ATM card has to be applied for. If you are a Monbukagakusho Scholarship student, it is necessary for you to open an account at a post office. |
